I'm Paul Mangiamele—a full-stack UX leader based in San Francisco with a passion for transforming complex challenges into intuitive, human-centered solutions.

Currently, I lead UX design at AWS Solutions, where I build industry-specific transformational software that helps legacy sectors like automotive and healthcare overcome barriers to cloud adoption (among a host of other pain points). By diving deep into the unique challenges of these industries, I design digital experiences that unlock their true potential and drive measurable business impact.

Previously I was building software for Roche Sequencing to aid oncologists, lab scientists, and bioinformaticists to better diagnose and treat cancer. I spent my early career researching the intersection of UX (HCI) and Bioinformatics as a PhD student and postdoc, where I became a lab/bench scientist to better understand my end users and founded a UX lab to better quantify UX testing and research.

I’ve successfully led cross-functional teams and mentored emerging talent, driving projects from concept through execution while scaling products for thousands of users. I believe that a user-centered design approach—grounded in empathy, rigorous research, and a relentless pursuit of innovation—is key to building products that not only solve problems but also inspire and transform lives.
